NORTH WALES

Morlais Demonstration Zone (Developed by third sector social enterprise Menter Môn/Morlais). Demonstration project for tidal arrays in West Anglesey.

Minesto (Swedish developer). Tidal kite project in West Anglesey.

Nova Innovation (Scottish based tidal company with Welsh base in Caernarfon working in partnership with community energy group YnNi Llŷn). Tidal turbine project off Llŷn Peninsula.

SOUTH WALES

META – Marine Energy Test Area (led by Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum/MEW). A series of test areas in Milford Haven waterway and surrounding areas.

Pembrokeshire Demonstration Zone (led by WaveHub (Cornish company). Demonstration project for wave array devices 13km off South Pembs coast.

Marine Power Systems (Swansea based developer). Wave device being tested in Cornwall.

Wavetricity (Cornish company with office in Pembroke Dock). Wave device tested in Pembrokeshire in 2017.

Bombora (Relocated from Australia to Wales; wave energy technology developer based in Pembroke Dock). Developing a wave energy converter for demonstration in Pembrokeshire at East Pickard Bay.

Transition Bro Gwaun (Community organisation). Initial grant funding secured to look at the feasibility of developing community led tidal project. Potential sites include Strumble Head.
