From 1 January 2021, the UK will leave the Common Fisheries Policy and we need to be ready for change as an independent coastal state. This guide is to help you find your way through the steps you must take if you want to ensure your business can continue to trade.

For most commercial fishers there will be little immediate change, while fish and seafood exporters will need to comply with the EU’s Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing regulations and supply additional documents in order to continue to trade with customers in the EU.
